What is Penix? Penix is that way-cool multitasking Operating System that's a bit like that other one you might have heard of.. you know, the one that has the Interthingy running on it. We're not saying that we stole it. but there are large areas of this system that we know nothing about, but which, when we remove them, the system stop altogether. we don't know exactly what caenobite tasks do, but we have found that you can't kill them; you can't stop them; you can't even slow them down. whenever we use the motu command to alter their timeslice, they completely ignore it (this may be due to the fact that we think motu's orders are passed to the rest of the system by the caenobite tasks). a caenobite task can be incited to remove other tasks by passing it a BOX_OPEN message packet, but they are best left alone. thank god there are usually only about four of them. networks the Penix network philosphy is based on a `Master/Slave' relationship. Booting one does not re-BOOT a Penix system; it is `re-shoed'. If you boot a Penix system, it will fall apart. Reshoe-ing involves locating the sock partition, socking it, then looking about for something that resembles a shoe-block (a disk-block with startup information on it). once located, the shoe-block is overlaid onto the sock partition and is `laced'. Otra comparacion de manzanas contra naranajas??? UT es futurista, con fisicas fuera de lo "normal", accion rapida y constante, armas digamos "exageradas" (le metes 3 rockets en el cuerpo a alguien y capaz q sigue vivo) En UT coges todas las armas q te den la gana y listo BF es mas "realista" en sentido de que una caida de 3m te puede matar, una bala de pistola bien puesta te puede matar sin importar si andas el heavy armor, etc. La accion puede ser mas pausada, y es totalmente orientado a equipos, el 2142 te "premia" por seguir ordenes de tu leader de squad o commander Las armas solo las puedes escoger cuando empiezas a jugar y no puedes simplemente cargarlas y usarlas a tu gusto asi no mas... Yo siempre he amado UT incluso antes de q me comprara el primero, (Unreal el juego original es GENIAL) La accion me cuadra montones pues es rapida y constante, mas aun con la buena musica... no se me olvida el mpada de UT q era 3 torres con baja gravedad y esa musica q lo aceleraba a uno todo! UT es genial cuando quieres simplemente "volar bala a lo salvaje y correr como loco" BF por otro lado es mas de coordinacion, si hay una barricada enemiga debes ir despacio abriendo campo, (en UT por ejemplo nada mas te tiras de jupa y capaz q te los apeas a todos segun cuantos sean o q tan gato seas...) En UT corres, saltaas, vuelas bala, etc... tambien no olvides que la "consola" de windows es basica cuando ocupas hacer un restore del active directory o el server no carga, tienes comandos para deshabilitar drivers, reiniciar servicios y hacer un monton de cosas. Ojo que nadie esta diciendo q linux sea malo. Lo que pasa es que linux sera muy bueno para ciertas cosas (nuestro mainframe IBM utiliza maquinas virtuales de linux dentro de particiones de un Z/OS y es algo actual para aplicaciones criticas) pero para computadora de escritorio, como para ponerselo a mi hermana o mama en la compu JAMAS! hasta que no logren la usabilidad y simpleza de windows (que no es facil lograrla, por que creen que a microsoft le ha tomado años)

si, es "basada" en la famosa batalla de los termopilas, como dijeron arriba es una de las batallas mas conocidas de la historia debido a la grna diferencia de numeros. Estoas maes (espartanos+griegos+esclavos) lograron cerrar el paso por varios dias al ejercito de los persas, esto logro hacer q los griegos ganaran tiempo super valioso para lograr acomodarse para las batallas que vinieron despues, entre ellas unas navales. Una cita curiosa de lo q se supone q dijo un general persa, Tritantaechmes, a Mardonius respecto a con los que estaban peliando: "Good heavens! Mardonius, what kind of men are these against whom you have brought us to fight? Men who do not compete for money, but for honour" Esto cuando se entero de q los griegos competian en las olimpiadas para tener como premio una simple rama de olivo...
