VU Games ha liberado nuevas imágenes de Men of Valor: Vietnam. Los creadores de Medal of Honor: Allied Assault están desarrollando este título. Men of Valor: Vietnam es un FPS ubicado en la guerra de Vietnam. La historia sigue al jugador desde misiones de búsqueda y destrucción alrededor de la base aérea de Danang hasta el contra ataque en Hue. Un grupo de caracteres controlados por el AI del juego participan en la campaña. El juego también soporta un modo cooperativo que permite a los jugadores realizar la campaña completa en conjunto. Otro modos Multiplayer permite asumir el rol de la armada Vietnamita o Viet Cong. Men of Valor: Vietnam estará disponible en el otoño de este año en Xbox y PC. Website: Men of Valor Website

Ubisoft ha anunciado que Far Cry es Gold y estará en tiendas el 23 de Marzo. Ubisoft planea liberar otro demo single-player anticipando el lanzamiento. El demo Far Cry Research ya está disponible a través de diferentes canales. El demo final, un test de Windows XP llamado Boat, será liberado mundialmente el 15 de Marzo. Far Cry es una FPS con vistas a larga distancia y locaciones con completa libertad de exploración. El juego de PC también incluye física real y vehículos de combate. Los jugadores tendrán el rol de un personaje llamado Jack, quien escolta una periodista en una remota isla tropical, él cual de repente se encuentra bajo la persecusión de un equipo de mercenarios altamente entrenados. Yo jugué mucho UT, es más, me considero más un jugador de FPS más que de RTS. Me gustaba muchísimo, recuerdo que hice muy buenos headshots con el sniper rifle en el mejor modo que he jugado: Assault. Pero con UT2003 todo cambió. No soy tan experto, o estudioso de los juegos para poder definirlo, pero UT2003 fue una de las razones que me dedicara más al RTS que al FPS. He jugado unos minutos del demo de UT2004, y visualmente es excelente, y la inclusión de vehículos es un muy buen twist, ¿supondrá la vuelta de UT2004 al panora de los gamers? No sé si será suficiente, el tiempo dirá.

Yo tengo una madre, una esposa y una hija. A todas ellas mi admiración en este su día.

Voy a pensar que nunca tuviste uno, y aún así es difícil creer que no lo supieras...

¿Qué significa que un juego o un programa sea Gold? Significa que el código final fue aprobado y el juego está listo para producción. ¿Por qué Gold? Porque el disco maestro del cual se hacen las copias es típicamente de color dorado. Cuando se hace ese disco es porque ya el programa se va a empezar a copiar, y por lo tanto es cuestión de días para estar a la venta.

La Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences presentó sus premios en 36 categorías. Call of Duty de Activision e Infinity Ward fue premiado como el Juego del Año. Electronic Arts obtuvo el mayor número de premios, con 11. El juego más premiado fue Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time de Ubisoft. Peter Molyneux, Director Administrativo de Lionhead Studios, fue introducido al Salón de la Fama. La premiación fue realizada en el Rain in the Palms en el Palms Casino Resort en las Vegas. ¿Alguien a jugado este tipo de juegos que me explique cómo es el asunto? Entiendo que es un mundo virtual, y que dentro de él uno interactúa con otros, pero ¿qué pasa cuando uno no está conectad? ¿cómo se desconecta uno y cómo aparece después?
