Sky Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Según Activision: Sound files are missing or in a bad format error Question When launching the game, I receive the error that "sound files are missing or in a bad format." Answer Make sure that you meet the minimum system requirements. Make sure you have the latest video and sound card drivers from the manufacturers' websites. Set your desktop to a resolution of 800x600, 32 bit True Color. 1) Right-click on your desktop and select Properties. 2) Click the Settings tab. 3) Set your screen area to 800x600. 4) Set the colors to 32 Bit (True Color). Under Windows NT this will be listed as 65554 colors. 5) Click Apply and OK. All background applications must be shutdown prior to running the game. Copy the PAK files from disc 2 to your PC. 1) Place Call of Duty disc 2 in the CD-ROM drive. 2) Open My Computer. 3) Right-click on the Call of Duty CD and select Open. 4) Open the Setup folder on the CD. 5) Open My Computer again. 6) Open the Call of Duty folder on your hard drive, C:\Program Files\Call of Duty. 7) Copy the MAIN folder from the CD-ROM drive into the Call of Duty folder. 8) If prompted to overwrite files, do so. swo0sh.gt Posted May 7, 2004 Author Report Posted May 7, 2004 mae no me sirvio de nada vean lean esto no sound in Call of duty -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i had the same problem , only sound in the intro and no sound in the game. Also when i upgraded to the version 1.3, I got a message "2 sound files are missing or in bad format". I checked all the files and i found out that the pak1.pk3 and pak2.pk3 where installed but were damaged, i just copied those two files over (by hand) and it worked. Hope it helps desde la version 1.3 estos 2 vienen daños como q los copio a mano no entendi eso alguien expliqueme porfavor otra pregunta mas sky de lo q dijiste vos de lo siguiente : Copy the PAK files from disc 2 to your PC. 8) If prompted to overwrite files, do so. al tratar de copiar mira lo que me sale
Lorddarknes Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Ese error de redundancia cicllica es directamente del cd que estas usando, es original o copia, revisalo por rayas y huellazos digitales
