Blizzard acaba de anunciar un nuevo torneo de StarCraft, y más aún, nuevos mapas!

El "Mystery Tournament Invitational" empezará el 11 de Diciembre, donde participaran 2 equipos de los mejores jugadores, uno de Europa y otro de América. Al parecer posteriormente abrán mas fases.

3 nuevos mapas serán echos solamente para la ocasion! Los mapas serán revelados en temprano diciembre.

Pues nueva en el foro...gracias LP por la info, seguiremos de cerca este torneo, y ojalá que la comunidad de SC nos aporte con sus comentarios. Actualmente del único juego que obtenemos noticias constantes es de Counter Strike, ni siquiera de Warcraft recibimos news...

November 17, 2004 - StarCraft: Brood War Mystery-Map Invitational Announced

On December 11, 2004 Blizzard will be hosting the first of two Mystery-Map Invitational events for StarCraft: Brood War! The first event will feature two teams consisting of top players from Europe and the Americas, while a second event in January will pit the winning team against a team of top players from Asia. As a twist from the competitive standards in the Brood War community, the games will be played on three entirely new maps created specially for this event. These new maps will be revealed on December 2nd, which means players will only have a short period of time to acquaint themselves with these new battlegrounds and adapt their strategies.

Each invited team will feature a team captain, who doubles as an alternate, and five players. On December 11th the two teams will meet on Battle.net and play a series of five best-of-3 matches with each individual game being played on one of the new maps. All the members of the winning team will be awarded with a prize package of StarCraft gear. Stay tuned for more news updates on this page as the player list will be finalized and posted soon!

Pues sí, son muy buenas noticias. Espero que sea el inicio de una campaña de Blizzard para ir calentando motores para Starcraft 2 y aprovechar para irnos preparando para el Clan Warz 2005 de Starcraft.

A mí también me gustó más la selección Europea, En la WCG 2004 los americanos sux!, el único americano que pasó a la segunda ronda fue el Mexicano(Ray_Squadron AKA Blast). Y en Europa, escuché que Fisheye esta con un nivel muy bajo, en cambio Trek es un Protoss Respeto. La selección americana tiene demaciado gringo. Pero bien por Testie.

Ahora bien, la selección "B" de Korea del WGTour perdido contra Selecciones de España y Bolivia. Pero si hablamos del WEG 2004, definitivamente la supremasia Koreana se impone. :D

Blizzard now opened for public request of the matchups in the first part of the Mystery Map Invitational - Europe vs America! Whether making us visit their website is a trick to make us buy WoW is not of importance - we care not as long as they remember us. Don't dare to not make your voice heard!

Maybe they are encouraging us to register in perhaps the oldest Starcraft forum out there. Maybe they want to measure the community support for the event or foster our participation and logging on their Battle.net site so that we see all the beautiful banners of today’s release of, alas what a coincidence, their new product World of WarCraft.

For us it matters very little whether their interest is to make us buy their new product or to actually please us by hosting tournaments; we nevertheless got a dream situation where Blizzard is hosting an official StarCraft event, truly recognizing the community and it's members.

In the case of some players not showing up or facing something preventing them to participate; the team captains of each team will step in as substitutes ( Eriador for Europe respectively Hexatron_Rekrul for America).

Don't you dare to not make your voice heard. Let them see our true numbers. Let us hear them tremble, as the StarCraft community join in one great roar of proud existence!

Mae Ñato, esencialmente lo que dicen es que ellos creen que el torneo de Blizzard de Starcraft es estrategia de mercado para aprovechar la salida de World of Warcraft y que vayan vean todo lo que se ofrece con respecto a ese juego..

Luego, que Blizzard esta aceptando sugerencias de cuales serian los matchups que a la comunidad le gustaria ver de los jugadores ya anunciados pues dice Blizzard que es la comunidad la que va a escoger... ;)

asi que gogogo a los foros a registrarse y votar por sus matchups preferidos :D

Pregunta de newb en el campo de SC.... Quién es el MadFroG de este juego? Digo, cual es el mejor jugador de SC con reconocimiento mundial y con amplia trayectoria en torneos internacionales?

Siempre he oído de SlayerBocker.... digo, Boxer, y hasta vi un replay de él que por cierto me gustó mucho, pero "sigue siendo el rey"?

Yo tengo unos VODs donde a este carajo lo tratan como una estrella. Es un gimnasio enorme, con cámaras, tiran confeti, hay mantas, y las chavalas tienen camisetas con la foto del carajo.

Los sientan en unas mesas enormes y los ponen a jugar en TV nacional. Y las jugadas son comentadas en tiempo real. Un espectáculo que no se compara a nada que haya visto.

Lo único que me incomodó es que llegan vestidos rarísimo, como si fueran soldados de plomo o cascanueces!!

Disculpenme por cansar tanto con la canción de BoxeR

Pero es que es un jugador demaciado bueno, su micro no tiene igual, por ejemplo, el caso de un chobo como dice SGT, el Terran comun necesita SCAN para ver las "spider mines", BoxeR aplica tal manejo que con un Dancing de Goliaths es suficiente para levantar cualquier CAMPO MINADO.

o tambien ñato se te olvido decir que antes de la WCG2001, boxer gano todos los torneos a los que concurso durante un anno!! :D

o quien puede decir q saco la jugada del anno y q jugada!!!

2 marines un barracks vs 6 zealots o 10lings q jugador :D

o el toque de 2 tanques drop q owneo a toda la WCG :D

jaja no tiene comparacion....

no creo q ni madfrog tenga un curriculum como ese mae :D

mae sky, no es solamente como lo tratan al mae, ese video q vistes q es en un estadio... son los mismos estadios q se usaron para la copa del mundo :D q lugares mas gigantes, una entrada en primeras filas puede costar alrededor de $200 o mas :D

y las finales de torneos importantes son asi :D...

q tuanis nato encender el tele y deci huy mira en teletica le esta dando un clanwars de SC o W3.... o pasar a canal 7 y ver un game de CS.... o COD q adelantados q estan los koreanos del resto del mundo con el progaming :D

a mi me contaron q en SC, antes habian hasta institutos q esennaban a jugar :D nice!!! jaja hoy tengo examen de historia del tanque siege.... y luego tengo clases de lenguaje para aprender a hablar protoss.. omg ^^y

Boxer es muy buen jugador de hecho esta SC antes de Boxer y despues de Boxer, pero el mejor para mi Terran nadie se compara con [RED]NaDa :twisted:

este mae massea increiblemente y tiene un macro de miedo :yes:

Aunque despues de todo esto yo que soy toss le doy todo el apoyo a Nal_rA, U rox Nal_rA :headbang:

De los mejores: Nal_rA, Yellow, Kingdom, NaDa, Boxer (ta mamando desde hace rato <_< ), chojja, iloveoov (este mae es super gosu, ya vi reps del mae Ñato :good:)

Yo les digo algo.... el mejor jugador (para mi) no necesariamente es el que gana todos los torneos, sino el que usa el juego con gracia y elegancia mientras ocupa los principales puestos.

No he visto mucho de Slayer, pero si de "Maddy", y talvés a ambos los ownean o han perdido torneos, pero no dejan de mantenerse en bocas de todos y no dejan causar incertidumbre y por sobre de todo, de tener admiradores.

Es increíble lo que causó SC, y todo lo que hablan de Korea y países orientales, es tan solo una parte de lo que hoy en día sucede.
