Gente, como muchos aca se que son desarrolladores de software(o cualquier otro sinonimo adecuado). Aca les dejo un evento que talvez les guste, cualquier duda me avisan!

what is hackathon 2012?

A 24-hour hacking event for web developers, front-end engineers or designers. Collaborate and build something awesome in 24-hours & at the end of the event the best, most inspiring hacks will receive prizes. It doesn't have to be helpful to anyone, or even remotely sane. Just something you are excited as hell about doing. Hackathons are meant to be fun.

There are two categories:

  • API Category: where the requirement is the hack must make use of the Backcountry API.
  • WILD Category: a completely open, anything goes, category.

First Place winners will be awarded in each of those categories. In addition a Grand Prize Hackathon winner will be awarded for the most impressive hack of the event. See more about the prizes, rules andjudging. Questions about the event or registration? Send an email tohackathon@backcountry.com

Backcountry.com developers from our Costa Rica office will be running the show. We love technology and will be on-site to help with ideas, mentoring or even to lend a hand with some design or coding. Judging at the end of the event will include our CEO Jill Layfield, CTOCharanjeet Singh, and other Backcountry.com executives.
