Feature Changes

- StarCraft and StarCraft: BroodWar no longer require the CD while playing the

game. To play without the CD, please follow the following instructions:

- Windows Users:

- Make sure you have "Hide extensions for known types" unchecked under

Explorer Folder Options.

- If you own only StarCraft, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft CD to

your StarCraft folder and rename it to "StarCraft.mpq".

- If you own StarCraft: Brood War, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft:

Brood War CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "BroodWar.mpq".

- Mac users:

- If you own only StarCraft, copy "StarCraft Archive" from the StarCraft CD

to your StarCraft folder.

- If you own StarCraft: Brood War, copy "Brood War Archive" from the

StarCraft: Brood War CD to your StarCraft folder.

La verdad, el modelo que usan Compañías como THQ deberían de copiarlo todas. Usted instala el juego, y nunca más necesita el CD. Ahora, si quiere jugar online necesita un CDKEY válido.

Yo el disco de W3 lo tuve que comprar dos veces. Es cierto que ahora hay mini-imágenes, NOCDs y demás opciones, pero lo mejor es que desde caja no se pida el CD, y que más bien el esfuerzo sea por una red online de primera que fuerce a los usuarios a conseguirlo en forma legal.

STEAM tiene un excelente modelo: Compre el juego, digite el CDKEY en su cuenta de STEAM, y ¡listo!. Si no quiere la caja, pues haga el download solamente. NCSOFT es lo mismo, baje el cliente, digite el CDKEY, y nunca tuvo que usar el CD. Y así podría seguir. La verdad lo que es una tendencia debería de convertirse en regla.
