El Sp3 de Windows es solo un conjunto de parches para la parte "empresarial" del sistema operativo, o sea, mejoras en la estabilidad con procesos de trabajo (servidores, etc), si quieres puedes bajar el whitepage del sp3 de xp para que vea lo que le arreglaron
